Here at Matthews Paoli Ford, we known that many local drivers can’t get enough of crossover models right now. We also know that more and more drivers are looking for “green technology.” Fortunately, there’s a Ford SUV in the works that might just be perfect for both groups of drivers: the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid.

The Ford Escape Hybrid looks much like the original model, which is powered solely by gasoline. We can assume there won’t be too many huge differences to set it apart, so fans of the original Ford Escape are in luck. Due to their similar appearances, we can assume that the Ford Escape Hybrid won’t be getting a completely new powertrain, either. Instead, expect to see the 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine found in the current model to get the hybrid treatment.

While the exterior doesn’t give us too much to pore over, the interior is a different story entirely. Recent spy shots show that the inside of this Ford crossover is completely different. It looks more modern, it has a huge tablet infotainment screen, and its interface has fewer buttons than before. The instrument cluster has been completely digitized, as well. The whole inside actually looks a lot like the interior found in the 2019 Ford Focus. Although the most recent Ford Focus won’t be making its way to the United States, at least we’ll get to experience some of it through the interior of this Ford Escape Hybrid.
